
Dr Girgis Bushra Ghali, a researcher of Latin and Greek arts has applied to the Centre for Editing Heritage works, in the Dar al-Ulum faculty, Cairo University, to participate in a intensive training courses to enable him to edit and read older text of the Gospels and ancient literature works, so that he can explains and comment on various issues raised in ancient theology.
Dr Mohammed at-Tawwel, Dean of the Faculty, tells Ibrahim Abdlughani of October magazine, that, "the aim of these courses is the revival of such text of the Phonic, Coptic and Islamic Egyptian history and bring out a new generations of researchers. This is essential since the older pioneering generation of Ahmed Fouad Shakir, Mahdi Allam, Shawqi Dhaiff and Ibrahim Madkour has now passed away.
The courses are being organised in co-operation with Sheikh Ahmed Zaki Yamani, Chairman of al-Furqan Islamic Heritage Foundation, in London.
