Since its inception in 1988, Al-Furqān Islamic Heritage Foundation has been involved in activities to encourage research and to study the field of Islamic manuscripts and Islamic civilisation. The conferences are a step on that very long and rich road. The first conference on The Significance of Islamic Manuscripts was held in London between 30th November and 1st December 1991.
