Realising that the skills involved in the cataloguing of manuscripts are gradually disappearing, Al-Furqān Islamic Heritage Foundation envisaged special training courses on the sphere of cataloguing, to be aimed at young scholars, university graduates and librarians who have not been specifically trained in the handling of manuscripts. So far, there have been nine international courses on cataloguing in different parts of the world.
