On Monday 26th August 2024, the Managing Director of Al-Furqan, Mr Sali Shahsivari, and the Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan (CIC), Mr Firdavs Abdukhalikov, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, in order to strengthen the cooperation between the two institutions.
The MoU’s signing ceremony took place at the margins of the WOSCU’s 8th International Congress under the title "The Great Heritage of Ancestors – the Foundation of the Third Renaissance" (organised from 23 to 26 August 2024, in Tashkent and Samarkand), at the Silk Road Congress Centre in Samarkand.
This MoU comes with the aim to broaden the cooperation between Al-Furqan and the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, a collaboration which has started a couple of years ago.
The cooperation involves collaboration between Al-Furqan and CICin:
- Exchanging scientific information and establishing cooperation between libraries of the parties.
- Carrying out experience exchange among researchers of the parties.
- Conducting joint conferences, seminars and symposiums, etc.
