At the invitation of Dr. Coşkun YILMAZ, President of The Manuscript Institution of Türkiye (TÜYEK), the Managing Director of Al-Furqan, Mr Sali Shahsivari, participated in the “1st International Manuscript Symposium”, which was held on 10–12 December 2025, at RAMI Library in İstanbul, Türkiye.
The event was organised by TÜYEK, and gathered hundreds of scholars, researchers and institutions concerned with the study and preservation of manuscript heritage.
More than 100 papers – divided into 27 sessions – were presented during the symposium.
The Managing Director of Al-Furqan, Mr Shahsivari, was honoured to deliver a speech and contribute to the Round Table on “The Future of Manuscripts in the Digital Age”, which took place before the closing the end of the symposium, on Friday 12th Dec 2026.
