On Monday 26 June 2023, the Managing Director of Al-Furqān Islamic Heritage Foundation, Mr Sali Shahsivari, accompanied by Mr Mamoon Alabbasi, in charge of Outreach & Events, and the rest of the working team at Al-Furqān, welcomed Mr Zafar Abbas Malik, Dean for Development and University Relations, and Director of Publications at East-West University in Chicago, the United States.
Mr Shahsivari gave a brief overview of the current roles played by Al-Furqān Foundation, and the many developments that have taken place since Mr Malik last visited the Foundation, in its previous location in Wimbledon.
Mr Malik recalled some of his fond memories of the Foundation, and its founder, the late Sheikh Ahmed Zaki Yamani.
Mr Shahsivari used this opportunity to thank Mr Malik for his efforts in designing the Logo of Al-Furqan, when the Foundation was established in 1988, and which is still in use.
Mr Malik expressed appreciation for the positive contribution to Islamic heritage made by the Foundation, underscoring the need for such efforts in the current climate.
At the end, the Managing Director of Al-Furqān exchanged symbolic gifts with the guest, and the occasion was marked by taking photographs. Mr Malik expressed his intention to visit the Foundation again during his next trip to London.
