In the series of lectures organised by Al-Furqan, H.E. Sheikh Ahmed Zaki Yamani delivered a lecture entitled "International Politics Pre-Islam and the Significance of Makkah in World Trade".
This lecture took place on the evening of Wednesday the 18th of February 1998, at the cultural salon of the author and poet Ali Abu al-Ula, in Makkah. The event was attended by a distinguished gathering of intellectuals, writers and academics.
