The importance of Renewal of Islamic Thought and the Primary Means towards it

This was a keynote lecture delivered by His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed Zaki Yamani in the 21st General Conference of the Egyptian Ministry of Al-Awqaf, under the title “Renovation of the Islamic Thought”, which took place on 5th March 2009, at Conrad Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. Sheikh Yamani provided his thoughts on the importance of reviving (tajdĭd) the Islamic thoughts and the main mechanisms towards it, emphasizing the fact that this renewal must be based on the familiar methods of the jurisprudence priorities and its major rules.
