The Maqasid Centre focuses on the study of the objectives, purposes, goals, intents and underlying principles (maqāṣid) of the philosophy of Islamic law.
The development of new Islamic rulings (ijtihād), which should always be practised by scholars, depends primarily on a comprehensive understanding of al-maqāṣid of the Islamic law and their prioritisation in practise.
In this regard, the Maqasid Centre organises conferences on various aspects and topics on the objectives of Islamic law.
