An agreement of understanding and co-operation between Al-Furqan Islamic Heritage Foundation and Istanbul Foundation for Research and Education (ISAR)

The closing session of the First International Conference on “The State between Tradition and Future” held on 20-21 December 2013, and organised by ISAR in collaboration with Al-Furqān Islamic Heritage Foundation, the National Association for Studies and Research (NASR), the Syrian Business Forum, and Üsküdar Municipality, Istanbul, witnessed a ceremony, celebrating the signing of a bilateral agreement of co-operation between Al-Furqān Islamic Heritage Foundation, represented by its Managing Director, Mr Sali Shahsivari, and Istanbul Foundation for Research and Education (ISAR), represented by its director, Dr Recep Şenturk. The agreement included preserving Islamic heritage, particularly the written heritage, through cataloguing, critical editing, publishing, researching the means to protect and preserve heritage, and employing all means to raise the level of civilisational awareness among researchers and workers in these domains, as well as co-operating jointly in organising conferences, seminars, training courses and lectures in the field of Philosophy of Islamic Law (maqāṣid).
