At the invitation of Prof. Bülent Uçar, Managing Director of the Institute of Islamic Theology, Osnabrück University, and Prof. Habib El Mallouki, Chairman of the Board of Scientific Society for Islamic Theology (WGIT), Osnabrück University, the Managing Director of Al-Furqan, Mr Sali Shahsivari, attended the WGIT Award Ceremony 2023, organised by the Osnabrück University in Germany on 8th November 2023.
The winner of the WGIT Award for this year (2023) was Prof. Bashar Awwad Ma’rouf.
The programme included greeting speeches by Prof. Kai-Uwe Kühnberger, Vice President for Research, Social Dialogue and Transfer at the University of Osnabrück, by Prof. Rauf Ceylan, Vice-Director of the Institute for Islamic Theology (IIT) at the University of Osnabrück, and by Prof. Habib El Mallouki, Chairman of the Board of Scientific Society for Islamic Theology (WGIT).
On this occasion, Mr Shahsivari was asked to deliver the laudation speech.
After that, followed the Award Ceremony, where Prof. Bashar Awwad Ma’rouf delivered a short thank you speech.
The ceremony was concluded with a lecture delivered by Prof. Syrinx von Hees, Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Münster in Germany
