
At the invitation of Mr Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, the Managing Director of Al-Furqan, Mr Sali Shahsivari, participated in the International Scientific Conference under the title “The Role and Significance of Amir Temur and the Timurid Civilization in the World History and Culture”, which took place on April 9 and 10, 2026, at the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The conference brought together more than 300 leading national and international scholars, experts, heads of academies of sciences, representatives of international organizations, museums, libraries, and universities from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America.

The Managing Director of Al-Furqan, Mr Sali Shahsivari, was honoured to deliver a speech at the Plenary Session of the Conference and at the opening ceremony of the School of Calligraphy, as he was delighted to deliver a presentation under the title "The Timurid Era: Central Asia's Age of Intellectual Splendour", within the Thematic Session of the Conference on ‘Manuscript Culture, Science, and Education in the Timurid Era’.

Mr Shahsivari, took the opportunity to congratulate Mr Abdukhalikov on the inauguration of the CIC, on the resounding success of the International Scientific Conference, and for the tireless efforts in serving the human cultural heritage in general, and the Uzbek cultural heritage in particular; wishing him and his team continued success in the future.
At the end of the Conference, and on this auspicious occasion, symbolic gifts were exchanged between the two parties.
Mr Shahsivari was part of the group of the delegation who visited Samarqand on April 11, as he participated in the fruitful Discussion which took place at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center in Samarkand.
