The book, “Ahmed Zaki Yamani: The Heritage of an Ummah in a Man” is an honorary dedication to His Excellency, the late Shaykh Ahmed Zaki Yamani (Allah bestow mercy on him); representing a humble gift to this uniquely exceptional personality. Its pages witness to the proceedings of the commemorative symposium, “The Personality and Ideas of His Excellency Shaykh Ahmed Zaki Yamani”, organised on Thursday, 26 May 2022, at Al-Furqān Foundation's headquarters, with the participation of eminent academics and esteemed scholars, closely linked to him, in addition to friends and members of the family.

The book’s special importance lies in that it presents live testimonies penned—as a present, salute, and expression of appreciation and faithfulness—by a company of devotees, friends, and those cognisant of his favour, in recognition of his unique standing as an exceptional trend in our contemporary history, celebrating his memory, honouring him, and extolling his worth and status. These testimonies revolved around the rich and multiple facets of his personality (Allah bestow mercy on him), presenting his ideas and positions, the works he established, and the events he experienced, with special focus on the three areas of interest within the Al-Furqān project; the pioneering project that he founded and was closest to his heart, through focus on his efforts at reviving studies related to Islamic heritage, the Two Noble Sanctuaries, or the philosophy (maqāṣid) of Islamic law.
