Summary

It also discusses how Islam allowed listening to music so long as certain conditions were met. The book also indicates that many nations that entered into Islam brought their musical cultural heritage with them and in doing so they contributed to the growth of a unique form of music within the Islamic civilisation. The author also mentioned famous musicians and singers such as: Ibn Misjaḥ, Ibn Maḥriz, Ibn Suraij, Ziryāb, etc., who also authored several works in this field.
