Wafāʿ al-Wafāʿ bi Akhbār Dār al-Muṣṭafā

Summary

This five volume book meticulously details the history of the city of Madīnah. Little is left out in terms of details of the city by its author al-Samhūdī. It can be said that his work is a comprehensive undertaking based on a variety of sources which he himself considered very carefully for authenticity and accuracy before including them in his monumental work. He was able to chronicle all events that occurred in the city up to the time of his death in 911 A.H.
